Fixing the Government and Building Peace: A Night with Dr. Lynn Sandra Kahn
Dr. Kahn is the founder of Plan 2021, a strategy to fix government and build peace. She declared a Global Truce, a call for dialogue at every level to reach shared solutions to reduce harm and violence, on June 26 in Washington D.C. at the National Press Club and then traveled cross-country to raise awareness about the Global Truce declaration and Plan 2021.
She has also worked with New York City Probation Commissioner Vinny Schraldi to draft the strategic plan for the city’s probation programs which achieved dramatic results, including lower crime rates and fewer violations of parole and probation. This leads to lower costs for incarceration and additional resources to invest in community-based programs.
Dr. Kahn will speak about various topics, such as peace making versus peace building. Food and wine will be served.
